Why are these great?
As homeschoolers, we love to simple things like this. Daily, it allows you to show the child how important they truly are to the Kingdom of God, and it allows you to discuss biblical truths that empower them. These don’t have to be done just in February, but any time of the year is great!
The world is pushing a different message onto our children. Doing this once a year (or even more) is a wonderful reminder of how wonderful each and every child is.
How do you use these hearts?
If you don’t want to do one a day for 2 weeks, try doing one heart a month. That gives you an entire month to focus on each biblical truth.
You can see a lot of moms on Pinterest placing hearts on kid’s doors from February 1st – February 14th. However, there are more options. Think outside the box. You could hide it every day for your kid to find. Tape it to the bathroom mirror. Put it on their shoes. Place the heart on their pillow so when they go to sleep (or when they wake up), they see it. Possibilities are endless.
Love languages
These hearts are a fantastic way to fill the “words of affirmation” love language bucket. If you don’t know your child’s love language, I suggest reading the book The 5 Love Languages of Children. You can find that book on Amazon, but I would suggest checking out Thriftbooks as books are normally cheaper on there because they are used. That’s where I buy most of my books and I have yet to get a bad book from there. Also, wonderful because you can earn rewards which get you free books!
Did you use these hearts?

This is a really cute idea. I have been trying to decide whether I am going to “do” Valentine’s Day this year because it is so close to my due date but this is so simple and I think my kids will really feel special. Thanks!
You’re welcome and congratulations!
